Sign Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Toronto Raptors

The Issue

Giannis Antetokounmpo deserves an A-Team coaching staff, executive team, and top-tier teammates. Most importantly, Giannis Antetokounmpo deserves an organization that will utilize their full capability and potential to

The partnership the Toronto Raptors, Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment and the City of Toronto can provide to Giannis Antetokounmpo:

  1. Nick Nurse is the most innovative defensive mind of the last decade and 2020 Coach of The Year. In the 2018-2019 season, Nick Nurse allowed his super star player to do what they need to do. Nick Nurse has extraordinary leadership and influence.
  2.  (MLSE) is Canada's preeminent leader in delivering top quality sport and entertainment experiences to our fans. MLSE is one of North America's leading providers of exceptional experiences. Their executive team include Exeuctive of The Year (2013) Masai Ujiri and a brilliant strategic-oriented general manager Bobby Webster.
  3. Elite teammates and the finest bench players, to name a few: Kyle Lowry, Pascal Siakam, Norman Powell, Matt Thomas, Stanley Johnson, OG Anunoby, Terence Davis and Oshae Brisset. We pull pieces from our G-League Affiliate, Trades, Draft and through Acquisitions. Our development team is unlike no other, we have been in the playoffs since 2013.
  4. Toronto is Canada’s largest city and a world leader in areas such as business, finance, technology, entertainment and culture. Its large population of immigrants from all over the globe has also made Toronto one of the most multicultural cities in the world.
  5. Nightlife. Toronto is an incredible city for nightlife. We have clubs, bars, pubs, and everything in between. VIP access to CODA, Rebel, ToyBox, EFS, Lost&Found, Nest and etc.
  6. There are roughly 300,000 Canadian Citizens with Greek Ancestry and a strong greek community in Toronto.

Why sign Giannis Antetokounmpo?

The Toronto Raptors fell short against the Celtics in a 7 game series, the Boston Celtics ended up moving onto the Eastern Conference Finals. As we found out during the series, that Pascal Siakam is not our Leader that showed up, we expected him to be our #1 but he could not pull through. Having a superstar leader is critical for a team to move on to the Finals and compete for a championship ring. We have all of the other pieces (coaching staff, executive team, development staff, elite teammates) and all we need is a Superstar that can lead us back to the NBA Finals. With expiring contracts, there's room for Giannis to come join this organization.

I am pleading with you today, if you care about the Toronto Raptors longterm future and another chance to bring home another ring. Sign this petition.

Lets bring home the championship ring again, lets bring Giannis to Toronto, Canada... Lets bring Giannis   H O M E
