Shadow the Hedgehog is a fan favorite Sonic character that was added to the Smash Brothers series in Smash Brothers Brawl nearly 10 years ago. He has also appeared as an assist trophy in Smash Brothers for Wii U and 3DS. Between E3 and the November 1st Smash direct, Shadow was absent from his assist trophy role until he was revealed as one once again alongside other fan favorites like Skull kid and Issac from Golden Sun. Now that the base roster is finalized, Masahiro Sakurai has confirmed that the game will receive DLC support up until February 2020. Here is where we Shadow fans come in, we must get the word out to Sakurai that we want Shadow to be moved to playable status! Though some may say that he can't be playable because of his place among the assist trophies, this isn't an official rule.
