On the 9th of November Ruby & puddy my beloved family pets of seven years got out of my back garden by total accident. While being out they were involved in two seperate incidents with two seperate dogs being walked by their owners. In these two incidents my dogs may have approached the other dogs in a boisterous excitable manner because they are not used to being off lead or without myself or my husband. These both incidents were captured on CCTV the man that had the CCTV kicked ruby a few times & followed her with a bar, he also managed to lock her in his porch while he went & got a member of the Garda who then called the dog warden who siezed ruby & has been taken away from her loving family pending court on the 18th of December. Now in these incidents no dog or human were injured & the dog warden told us personally that the owners of the other dogs are happy enough to let it go! So as it stands sdcc are taking me to court where I will be prosecuted on section nine of the control of dogs act & then sdcc will ask for a section 22 to get ruby put to sleep. In my opinion I feel this is totally wrong to put our family member to sleep for doing no wrong but be a bit boisterous & excitable.
