UPDATE: Progress and Volunteers Needed!

Hi friends!
We’re just part the end of our first week providing protest relief in Lower Manhattan and around the city. We’ve been busy on the ground and I haven’t updated you guys, so HERE’s what’s been happening:
Pace, of course, isn’t truly supporting us. They donated 18 cases of water, which was fantastic, but most of those waters were handed out day 1. In addition, Pace has been allowing NYPD to go inside to use the bathrooms, something they told us we wouldn’t be allowed to do.
REGARDLESS, a fearless group of volunteers has made this week possible. From carrying tons of supplies to wherever protestors may be, to helping a local pizzeria hand out 50 donated pizzas, and educating the public about DJ Henry, something that Pace also fails to do. We’ve handed out close to 60 cases of water, a bunch of Gatorade/Powerade, as well as tons of snacks. We have too many gloves and masks to count at this point. But all of this is made possible through all of the generous Venmo donations received, as well as numerous groups from the city who have donated and brought us supplies beyond our imagination. It’s been overwhelming in such a positive way.
We do still need help though. As the city begins to reopen, a group of 10 of us isn’t able to keep a station staffed every day. We know the work is far from done. Even if protests slow down, there’s plenty to be protesting still. If you are in the city and able to help, we need as many volunteers as we can get! We would also greatly appreciate a volunteer who has any sort of vehicle...it’s much more helpful for us to store and transport than moving everything by hand from an apartment to Pace, or even to set up at other locations when there isn’t much activity near Pace. We’re hoping to stay active a few days a week with a solid team of 4-6 per shift and two shifts per day! If you’re able to help us out, message us on Instagram @DJHenryProtestReliefSite
Thank you all for getting us to the point of being able to do this. We hope to continue to do so as long as we are able!
Peace and Love,
Alex
