In July 2018, Marvel Comics hired Nick Spencer to write "The Amazing Spider-Man" comic book series and with a new #1 issue when the title relaunched and Spencer had Peter Parker date Mary Jane Watson again.  Spencer's run and handling of Peter's relationship with Mary Jane was well received by fans and fans were thrilled to have Peter and Mary Jane back together.  Spencer ended his run on "Amazing Spider-Man" in 2021 and Marvel had sidelined Peter in favor of having Ben Reilly return as Spider-Man in the "Beyond" storyline.  The storyline was not well received and fans of Ben Reilly hated that Marvel changed the character by erasing his memories had him mutated by chemicals to become a villain called Chasm.

To make matters worse, in April 2022, "The Amazing Spider-Man" comic book series was relaunched with a new #1 issue that showed Peter Parker on bad terms with his friends and his family, that Mary Jane didn't want Peter to see or talk to her, and Mary Jane is dating a man named Paul with two kids who call her "Mommy".  Peter is also currently working for Norman Osborn, the original Green Goblin (a.k.a. the man who murdered Peter's girlfriend Gwen Stacy, his clone Ben Reilly, and his daughter May), and is using a new suit, glider and tech that Norman used. 

We, the fans, would like to see this storyline corrected as soon as possible, to have Marvel fix the changes made to Ben Reilly, and to have Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson get back together as a couple and remarry, and to permanently keep Peter and M.J. married after Marvel retconned their marriage in the infamous "One More Day" storyline.  Marvel's Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski, its Executive Vice President Joe Quesada and "The Amazing Spider-Man" Editor Nick Lowe all do not seem to want Peter and Mary Jane to stay together, even though Marvel is aware that fans consider Peter and Mary Jane to be the greatest couple in Marvel Comics.  We, the fans, would like to see Marvel fix the new direction of "The Amazing Spider-Man" comic book series, return Ben Reilly to his old heroic self, and have Peter and Mary Jane get back together, remarry and permanently stay married.  Please help us make this happen!
