In July 1963, writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko created Doctor Otto Octavius a.k.a. Doctor Octopus, in "The Amazing Spider-Man", vol. 1, #3.  Since then, Doctor Octopus, or "Doc Ock", has become one of Spider-Man's most popular, most persistent and one of his greatest enemies.

However, under previous Spider-Man writer Dan Slott, Doc Ock underwent several changes, such as briefly taking over Peter Parker's life and Spider-Man identity as the Superior Spider-Man, before returning in "The Clone Conspiracy" storyline where he then got a new proto-clone body and became the Superior Octopus.  Recently, however, Marvel has changed Octavius' status quo by giving him a new alter-ego as Dr. Elliot Tolliver, returned him to his Superior Spider-Man identity and has given him his own monthly comic book series "The Superior Spider-Man".

We, the fans, are disappointed by the changes made to Octavius in recent stories and we would like to see him return to his original body, to have him wear his classic green-and-orange costume and have Octavius return to the monthly Spider-Man comics as the super-villain Doctor Octopus once again.
