Daredevil season two has been a huge success, and has been well-received by critics and fans alike, but one element was consistently cited as the best part of the season: Jon Bernthal's Punisher. The character fit into Daredevil's world seamlessly, and at his best, left us wishing we were watching his own solo series. A particularly brutal Punisher story from the comics (Punisher Max, for example) would fit in perfectly with Marvel's dark, gritty television universe, but more importantly, Bernthal has proven himself more than capable of leading his own show. He was intensely charismatic in his performance and nearly feral in his fighting style, and we want to see more of his Frank Castle ASAP.
