Nelle Isole Fær Øer, appartenenti al Regno Unito di Danimarca, si pratica regolarmente una mattanza di cetacei ingiustificata.
Cacciare/pescare un animale, se poi lo si mangia, non è sbagliato.
E' sbagliato commettere una carneficina nel nome di una tradizione quando essa non ha nessuno scopo se non ludico.
Questo è il Grindadráp!! Ovvero, una caccia scellerata ai cetacei della zona che, una volta pescati ed uccisi, vengono rigettati in acqua.
Gli abitanti delle isole portano avanti una tradizione vecchia di secoli di quando la carne di balena/delfino era l'alimento principale. Ma ora questa carne non viene più mangiata per via della contaminazione col mercurio, e, di un'antica tradizione, non rimane altro che un'ecatombe di innocenti. Volontari da tutto il mondo riuniti nella Sea Shepherd cercano pacificamente di interferire con tale pratica, sia per un motivo morale, sia perchè gli animali cacciati sono protetti, ma vengono puntualmente fermati e arrestati. Ciò è dovuto anche ad alcune leggi fatte recentemente che favoriscono tale pratica.

Io chiedo che chi ha il potere di cambiare le cose LO FACCIA, perchè io sinceramente sto perdendo la fiducia.

The Islanders continue a centuries old tradition of when whale meat / dolphin was the main food. But now this meat is not eaten because of mercury contamination, and, of an ancient tradition, is not nothing but a massacre of innocents. Volunteers from around the world gathered in the Sea Shepherd peacefully seek to interfere with this practice, both a moral reason, and because the hunted animals are protected, but are regularly stopped and arrested. This is also due to some recently made laws that encourage this practice.
