Christopher Morin has been a valued member of Martin County High School for over three years. He has been a successful teacher of AP Human Geography and US History, and this year has taken on the additional responsibility of teaching AP US History. He has worked hard for his position today, and has been a shining light for his students ever since he began working.

This year, a sexually suggestive photo began circulating of Mr. Morin without his permission. Certain students sent around this picture of him mercilessly, without consideration that what Mr. Morin does in private is nobody's business but his own. It is unclear what this photo's origins are, but it is clear that he should not be blamed nor punished as a result of this situation. Nobody - especially not a teacher as loved as Mr. Morin - should have to go through each day knowing that people have seen you in that situation. The Martin County School District should not punish or fire Mr. Morin for his past, as he has proven himself to be a valuable teacher and a kind person. His past should not dictate his future.
