End the euthanasia of adoptable animals in Martin County, Florida

End the euthanasia of adoptable animals in Martin County, Florida
The Issue
The petitioners call for the Martin County Commission to pass a resolution to adopt an official program Paws to Zero. A public-private community collaboration that brings animal welfare organizations together to end the euthanasia of adoptable animals in Martin County.
The Commission should mirror the 2014 efforts of Palm Beach County, Florida and pass a resolution to adopt a program, such as Countdown to Zero, as an official program with the objective of saving the lives of all adoptable dogs and cats by the year 2024.
Our community has the expertise, the means and thus the obligation to aggressively implement strategies that will reduce the number of animals needing temporary shelter and end the euthanasia of adoptable animals in Martin County.
Critical Areas of Focus:
- High Volume-Affordable Spay/Neuter
- Proactive Lost & Found
- TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return)
- Medical and Behavior Programs
- Proactive and Efficient Adoptions
- Rescue Networks
- Foster Care
- Keeping Pets and People Together
- Volunteers
- Community Outreach and Involvement
- Advocacy
Please sign this petition today so we can present it the The Martin County Commission within the next month.
