MARTA needs to be ran 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Atlanta residents and visitors, I need to bring to your attention the fact that MARTA needs to have a certain number of bus routes run for 24 hours. There are a multitude of metropolitan areas that have around-the-clock bus service. Unfortunately, Atlanta is not considered one of those cities.

A lot of people I know have missed the last bus (or train), and the consequence of that is they are is out of luck. What if they do not have anyone to pick them up or take them somewhere they need to be (which includes work)? Oh well, MARTA WON’T help with that, so you’re stranded for HOURS without any help. That does not need to happen. I find it to be extremely callous and an inconvenience for a metropolis to have their public transit system stop running at a certain time.

To alleviate the situation, I propose that the City of Atlanta (or the State of Georgia) allow MARTA to run for 24 hours. It would save us the distress of having to find a ride home or a ride to work. I know ridership can be a factor; but, if we have around-the-clock service, the city will be able to make more money in the long term. With the city having 24-hour transit service, it would be easier for indigent individuals to get around.
