Guys, don't get me wrong. I absolutely love Eminem. I grew up listening to him as a child and I can recite the lyrics of any song in his first 3 albums and his unreleased tracks from his early days.

In any dispute about great rappers I will always take Eminem's side and I would die defending him but sometimes you have to be honest with yourself as a person. Em, I don't know if you will ever see this but please hear me out:

You are a great rapper. You have solidified your place in history. SSLP is a great album, MMLP1 is a great album, The Eminem Show is perfection. But your recent work has been shocking. Most of the tracks in Relapse sound like they weren't recorded for a particular audience but rather for your own amusement.

And Eminem, no fan of yours will ever call you out for this but in the albums after Relapse you became a bit sloppy. In "Not Afraid" you said shocking lines like "Okay quit playing with the scissors and shit, and cut the crap
I shouldn't have to rhyme these words in the rhythm for you to know it's a rap" and that's just one of the few corny wack lines that are starting to creep into your tracks. you can get away with it because you're Eminem. Pre-2004 Eminem would never spit wack stuff like that.

Not to say that you aren't a good rapper anymore. You still can rap, there is no doubting that technically you are still good. You can still use internals and multi-syllabic rhymes and sometimes rhyme entire bars but if we look past all of that, the content is not there. You don't have a sound, you don't fit in to this industry anymore. You're doing songs with Rihana and having lame Pop hooks, you dragged Kendrick Lamar into one of the worst tracks of his career, you've had a shocker ever since you returned in 2009. And people will argue that "Campaign Speech" is a technical masterclass but I think it is an attempt to be relevant before your new album comes out. And the fact that it is 7 minutes long with no hook and not a proper beat plays to the same narrative that you aren't releasing tracks for an audience because aesthetically, "Campaign Speech" is trash.

Em, I am begging you, please don't release another album. I can not bare to remember you like this. If you love your fans and if you respect music, you will not release another album.
