Today  would have been Valerie Harper's 82nd birthday. I was blessed to have met her back in the 1990's while volunteering for UNICEF.  I found Val to be totally down to earth and so genuine.  Like Marsha, she cared so much for the planet. She was one of the very first out spoken anti hunger activists- along with Marsha, John Denver, Dennis Weaver, Raoul Julia and Harry Chapin.  We owe Valerie a huge debt of gratitude for starting    (along with Dennis Weaver) , the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

Valerie was evolved and so well spoken.  Her reflections on Marsha and her activism lifted "Marsha Hunt's Sweet Adversity" to a higher level of consciousness.  I will be forever grateful to her for her participation in the film.  Val was a most gifted actress but I will always remember her for her passion and insistence that we can stamp out world hunger.  I pledge to do all I can to carry on her mission.   My love to her husband Tony and her daughter Christina.  i know its not easy for them.

I've enclosed a clip of Val speaking from the heart about Marsha.. I can't get over how brilliant she is.. A true activist ..she speaks not just from her heart but her soul.. I will never ever forget how dear this woman was- and how lucky I was that our paths crossed.  She adored Marsha.. Enjoy..

and lets get these last 489 signatures so I can send the petition to the White House.. Please share with someone who you think would be touched by Marsha's activism. And if the spirit moves, you, feed the meter a few dollars so the petition moves..(Funny how that works)

I'll be stopping by to see Marsha tomorrow. She sounded great over the phone this morning..

Please stay safe everyone in Henri's path...  bottle the rain and send it our way..we could use it   ..

take care everyone!
