Good Morning everyone..
Once I get 1500 signatures, I'm going to submit the petition to the White House! Marsha is SO deserving of this award .Because there is no "nominating" committee or procedure in place for giving this award, Marsha's congress person was absolutely no help. You'd think he'd watch "Marsha Hunt's Sweet Adversity" and then just write or call the President himself! It is what it is We forge on.
The only thing I don't like about change.org is that you have to "feed" the meters"..It seems that without donations, the petition doesn't move! I've donated plenty- and thanks to everyone for your generosity (especially Kelvin S.) if you can spare a few dollars, I'd be grateful.
I know times are tough now but try and remember this if you can...Marsha Hunt rose above adversity. And we will all as well..Best to all.. and p.s one of my goals with the Marsha Hunt documentary is to have an educational syllabus drawn up for high school and college students so that the film can be used as a tool for learning.
If anyone knows someone who does this for a living, please email me at rogcmemos@gmail.com. I also want to get the documentary back in the movie theaters in NYC, Marsha hometown this fall in honor of her 104th birthday. If anyone has connections..let me know.. thanks -roger
p.s i've uploaded a link to 102 year old Marsha singing "Monday in Manhattan"
