Councils are crying poor because of rate-capping, yet Maroondah continues to waste $32,500 on the Mayoral Ball.

Let's all sign this petition to put an end to this waste of OUR ratepaying money.

Good on Cr Lowe for taking a stand against such a senseless and blatant waste of ratepayer money. This is not a "community" function as everyday members of the community cannot attend. The Mayor and CEO invite their friends and those who have kissed their behinds the most that year. Cost-cutting needs to start here with this pompous and useless event canned.
