M&S continue to use palm oil for a wide range of their products, including items that have no reason for palm oil e.g. breads and salads because it's cheaper to do so. Given that M&S are supposed to be at the 'higher end' of the supermarket chains it is disappointing that they would stoop to these levels to make a quick buck. Especially given the pricing of their products.

They state that the palm oil that they use is 'sustainably sourced', however there is no such thing as 'sustainable palm oil'. Yet day by day, more and more habitats are destroyed for the ever increasing demand for palm oil, thus contributing to the decimation of endangered species like the orangutan, the pygmy elephant and the Sumatran rhino.

This is a petition to Steve Rowe, the Chief Executive of Marks and Spencers to pledge to remove all traces of palm oil in M&S products by 2022 and pave the way for other supermarket chains to follow suit.
