I am writing this in hope that Facebook and Craigslist, two very large online entities will stop allowing animals to be posted online for free.  There is no benefit to the animals when this happens, in fact it puts them at risk.  All we can do, is make sure that we put animals in the best possible situation as they progress forward with the next step in their life.  After all, we are all adults, we can certainly handle this simple task, right?  

If we take a look at the news, it is certainly clear of what bad things can happen when animals aren't taken care of properly via selling them for free online.  

There are proper channels for this, and we would encourage these individuals to reach out to a local animal shelter to help find the best home for the pet.  

We aim to see that animals are properly treated, and are put in the best possible living situation.  Although giving a pet away for free doesn't always have a bad ending, it certainly increases the odds that it will.  The best way to fight this is to stop it altogether as crimes on animals almost always lead to other crimes.
