Please Fix Facebook and Make it Animal Friendly!

The Issue

Due to the policies of Facebook, it has become difficult to help animals in need. As a Facebook dog page parent I have become used to the idea of the page having likes taken away and posts being hidden because I don't pay to promote since it is not a business. What I have a problem with is the fact that I created a group to do the advocating in so the posts could be seen and Facebook has found a reason to hide them. I recently shared a post of 2 4 month old puppies that are on death row in a small rural animal shelter in TX.. The post was rejected due to Facebook commerce policy rules. I was not selling the puppies, I was trying to help save their lives! What is really sad about it, other than these pups will die without the post being shared, is you can go on Marketplace and find contraband for sale.

I believe that there needs to be more human oversight on what your machines are doing. I am so sure there are other people who feel the same, I started this petition. Not every public page or group is made for profit. There is a very large community on Facebook that post to help make this world a better place for all! We ask that you have humans to check what is being flagged by the machine. When posts of advocates are hidden, advocates go to FB jail or any other punishment Facebook comes up with, there is a good chance that animals will die! Those innocent puppies I shared only had 24 hours to live and the appeal process for the rejected post is 48 hours. I am sure you can see the problem with that. I realize Facebook is a business and as such must make a profit but please find it in your heart to allow Facebook to be a tool for the good of not only humans but all living beings.
