Bot farms in our and other countries played a key role in getting Donald Trump elected. They are at it again, spreading calculated misinformation, and continuing to divide us. The fabrications orchestrated by these actors brought Donald Trump and his box of misfortunes, full of evils to which Pandora’s pale in comparison: from children in detention centers, separated from their families, to the destruction of environmental protections; from the daily practice of prideful ignorance, bullying, compulsive lying, and a Narcissism ‘the likes of which the world has never seen,’ to these COVID-19 days filled with sadness and chaos spread from the very top of our government.  There is another box that is about to become increasingly important in the future of our country, its people, our future: the ballot box. The bot farms are at it again, carefully targeting with blood icing precision the few thousand people who can -who will- once again, tip the scales in favor of Donald Trump and his troupe of the soulless. The targeted messages of the actors behind the bot farms need a vehicle, and that vehicle is Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and the like. If these platforms choose to shut down between NOW and the election, we may be able to stop the lies and misinformation. Think of it as virtual distancing: it may hurt a bit, but it may very well save many lives. Please ask Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and others to do humanity this favor. Thank you!
