Stop bigotry! Fire University of Michigan Professor John Cheney-Lippold

Professor John Cheney-Lippold recently denied a student a recommendation letter solely because she is Jewish and going to study abroad in Israel. Anti-semitism on college campuses has gotten out of hand and it's time to stand up to it before it's too late. U of M claims to champion "Diversity and Inclusiveness" but this type of behavior from faculty should not be tolerated. We demand either he issue an apology along with a recommendation letter or step down from his position or be fired. We will not tolerate bigotry directed at any minority groups on any campus across the United States. A professor's job is to teach a course and to judge a student on the merits of their work, output and study habits. A professor's job, however, is not to disseminate, proselytize or politicize personal beliefs and/or make any decisions based on the above that would cause harm or delay the desired outcome of a student's quest for further study to better his/her livelihood.
