Major supermarkets MUST label products containing sustainably sourced palm oil.

Major supermarkets MUST label products containing sustainably sourced palm oil.

The Issue

Many everyday products contain palm oil without us knowing, such as shampoo, chocolate, ice cream, make-up, detergent, toothpaste and so many others. Unfortunately, unsustainable palm oil is destructive, and causes deforestation in our rainforests, and destroys the habitats of endangered species, such as orangutans and tigers. There are only 40,000 orangutans left in the wild, when 10 years ago, there were 60,000. It is estimated that orangutans could be extinct within 25 years. Orangutans have lost over 80% of their habitat in the last 20 years. We want people to know whether they are buying sustainable or unsustainable palm oil, by supporting the RSPO label which ensures that you are buying sustainable palm oil. Please sign our petition, and pressure supermarkets into enforcing this label on their products.
