WA Premier Mark McGowan has repeatedly said when he set the date to open it would not change. 

The people of WA have waited almost 2 YEARS to be reunited with family, or to return home. Flights have been booked. Plans have been made. Hope has been clung to.

And yet, we find ourselves back in limbo. We are one of the highest vaccinated places on the planet, but after a 2 year advantage, it appears 'we are not ready'. 

Mark McGowan. You have lied to us. You have broken my heart and thousands of others. After 2 years, we deserve better. We 'did the right thing' and 'rolled up for WA'. Time to do as you promised and open up the state.

On the latest health advice
Our most vulnerable (including front-line health care) were vaccinated first, meaning they have peak immunity right now. To delay the inevitable further will put them at further risk.  This is 'the latest health advice' from thousands of doctors. 

On the G2G system. 
Mark McGowan recently announced that thousands of families could return to WA without hotel quarantine so their kids can start school. We welcome this. But given Covid exists interstate and this will result in more community transmission, it's time to:

• STOP hotel quarantine for international arrivals. This is nonsensical. 
• STOP forcing international arrivals to fly into another state first. This is putting them at higher risk of catching Covid as they transit through another airport/s and onto another plane/s. 
• Reduce quarantine period. Most people recover from Covid in 5 days. Every country in the world tried 14 days quarantine, it didn't work once there was community spread.

Basically, it's time to DO WHAT YOU SAID YOU WOULD DO and OPEN THE BORDER.
