Petition signature count: 574 and counting. Online: 339. On paper: 235. Since early May, the City has been reviewing the developer's application packet. From the City: "We have completed the first review of the project and provided comments to the applicant. With projects of this type, there are at least two reviews. At this point, no hearing date has been determined for either the Planning Commission or City Council. The earliest a hearing before the Planning Commission is likely to be scheduled is in August." The Process 1. City staff reviews application materials for completeness 2. Staff gives application materials to Planning Commission and schedules hearing with public and Commission 3. Commission gives application materials and recommendation to City Council, which schedules a second public hearing; City Council votes on proposed development. During the current review period (step 1), you can email the City with your comments. The City will give your comments to the Planning Commission with the application, when the review is complete. Email comments to Rob Smetana: rsmetana@arvada.org. Also happening, we have eight neighbors who've gone door to door, gathering signatures on copies of the paper petition. The consistent feedback they're hearing is that most neighbors have no idea about the proposed building, and they're happy to sign. There are still several streets near 68th & Carr that no one is covering (see linked map). https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_F_f2izZdrYaVhqRFZ0U3B5ZWM To inform neighbors and gather signatures, email me with the number of the area you want to cover. I'll email you the petition. Highlighted areas are already covered. Michael ArvadaHills@gmail.com
