We live in Yellowknife, the capital of the Northwest territories. We see the destruction that addiction inflicts on a daily basis, to some of our most vulnerable citizens. Unfortunately, homelessness tends to coincide with addiction and mental illness. Our town needs the resources, here at home to give our citizens the tools they need for a healthy lifestyle. We cannot keep getting set up for failure and shipped out, the support of family and loved ones is so vital in the healing process. Our City recognizes the problem and it is only going to get worse, a treatment center based here in the Northwest Territories, will be in the best interest of every suffering addict looking for help. It will be an asset to our communities, money needs to be invested in recovery, we all know someone who is suffering from some sort of addiction, please let's come together and make this a reality, we can make a difference and potentially save lives and this will have a positive effect on generations to come, I promise you. We NEED a treatment center based in the Northwest Territories, we don't have detox services, so go to the hospital if you are in need, detoxing alone can be dangerous depending on circumstances and health.
