Mark Henrikson for Principal

Mark Henrikson for Principal
The Issue
To Whom It May Concern:
We, the undersigned, are writing to express our support for Mr. Mark Henrikson to fill the principal position at Phoebe Hearst Elementary for the 2025-2026 school year.
Mr. Henrikson has been an outstanding teacher at Phoebe Hearst for thirteen years, consistently providing an enriching, challenging, and fulfilling experience for all of his students. This experience translates into a strong understanding of the demands and idiosyncrasies inherent in an elementary
school setting.
Mr. Henrikson’s commitment and dedication to our school is unparalleled. On top of the countless hours he’s voluntarily spent after school, on weekends and during every school break working to make our
campus a more beautiful learning environment for our students, he’s been a teacher representative on PTO, head coach of our intermediate football team, and coordinator and emcee for our yearly talent
show – just to name a few!
Mr. Henrikson is an inspiring leader on the Phoebe Hearst campus. On top of the leadership roles described above, he continually looks for opportunities to inspire and motivate both students and staff. He holds biannual staff appreciation barbecues on campus for no other reason than to express gratitude and recognition for their hard work. And, when it comes to student achievements, whether its spelling bee masters or football champs, Nature Bowl winners or theater super stars, Mr. H makes sure they are
publicly recognized for their achievements during morning announcements.
Mr. Henrikson’s longevity at the school has resulted in a deep connection with our students, families, and staff. All stakeholders on campus know that he is fully committed to our culture of high academic standards, robust community engagement, and diverse enrichment programs.
We feel strongly that Mr. Henrikson’s experience, dedication, leadership, and connection to the community uniquely qualify him to seamlessly take on the role of our next principal. We are confident that his commitment to our school will inspire him to lead us for many years to come, so we can end the
revolving door principalship at Phoebe Hearst that has existed for far too long.
We ask that SCUSD give Mark Henrikson their highest consideration.
