As of Saturday June 4th, 2022, judges have denied all of the recent attempts of Frank's attorneys to find justice for Frank.
Very recently, new evidence has surfaced, which directly links the alternate suspect in this case to the crime. This evidence was never provided to the defense but they happened upon it while examining the state's evidence archives. It consisted of an anonymous tip to the FBI by someone who saw the girl in a car with a certain license plate. Frank's attorneys found out that the license plate belonged to the vehicle of the next-door neighbor of the alternate suspect.
Frank's attorneys are now appealing on this issue, which very much points to Frank's innocence - in addition to the other overwhelming proof - and there will likely be a ruling by Monday or Tuesday of next week. Yet Frank still awaits execution on Wednesday.
