On June 8th, Marissa Bodnar of WGME Maine posted an article about a woman who surrendered her puppy to the MVMC when she had neglected his health for days and was unable to afford care.

This one sided story has gone viral, and has put the safety of the hospital, it's staff, and patients all at risk due to death threats and threats of violence from strangers who read this story. 

Even after MVMC posted a public statement on the situation, which showed the truth that all they did was go above and beyond to provide humane care for the critically ill puppy - Marissa Bodnar and her employers at WGME have not attempted to rectify this dangerous situation in any way, and have not apologized or retracted anything in regards to the situation - instead reiterating that they were in the right and had supposed evidence to support their claims. 

So, I am calling for the immediate formal apology and redaction of the story by Marissa Bodnar and WGME, lest it prove to be a warning to the rest of the news reporters of the world that the veterinary field will NOT bow down and take the abuse, lies, and fake scandal any longer. #NOMV
