Greetings and I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. I have been speaking to several concerned residents of Marina Grande regarding our limited access to the amenities deck. I have drafted the following proposal to safely and effectively manage the use of the amenities. We all pay about $1,000/month in Condo Association fees and it would be nice to have more access to the amenities we pay for. Please sign this petition if you agree with the following:

Extending the hours at the pool/grill until 11pm:

Extending the grilling/dining hours will spread out the demand at the grills thus enabling more residents to go up and enjoy the grills while practicing social distancing. Many residents do not get home from work in time to grill their dinner if it closes at sunset. They deserve to enjoy the amenities deck just as much as any other resident. Having access to the grills at night provides a great form of entertainment and could reduce residents’ desire to frequent high risk locations such as restaurants and bars. Closing at 11pm coincides with Palm Beach County regulations as it relates to restaurants and other forms of entertainment.

Opening the bathroom in the gym:

Providing residents with an additional (larger bathroom) reduces the probability of spreading an airborne disease. The idea here is to provide additional options to reduce traffic to a single location.

Opening the billiards room to 4 people at a time:

People need entertainment now more than ever. The billiards room provides a safe venue for 4 people to interact safely and play pool. Having the billiards room may also reduce some residents’ desire to frequent local restaurants and bars and potentially contract Covid in one of these locations and then share our valet, elevators, mail rooms, etc.

Opening the Sauna and steam room

Allowing family units or individuals to schedule a time to enjoy the sauna and steam room could be another option to consider. Many residents consider the sauna/steam room a critical part of their health regimen. A couple residents that I know have health issues that require them to use a sauna or steam room on a weekly basis.
