Dean Taylor has a spotless record and has had an incredible impact on hundreds of kids through coaching. He is a great mentor and father figure to many students at San Rafael High. This petition is aimed at showing the how much the SR community cares about this man and the powerful impact he has had on his players, friends, and family. Through the perspective of many of those he taught, Dean helped many get out of trouble and find themselves through sports. Dean created unique relationships through everyone he coached and always had their backs.

Dean has devoted his time and energy into helping his community. He grew up without a father and pledged to be the father to his sons that he did not have. This carried over to his coaching. Many see him as a father because he did what great fathers do; taught each individual how to be a good person and succeed in life. His incredible love for helping people led him to coaching Boys and Girls Golf, as well as JV Basketball at San Rafael High School. 

As Dean has taught many of his students, a person is not defined by their mistakes, it is how they can rebound in the face of adversity.
