Bring the Good Earth supermarket to Tam Junction in Mill Valley!

For close to five years, the 20,000-square-foot former De Lano’s IGA, has stood empty at Shoreline Shopping Center on Flamingo Road in Tam Valley / Mill Valley. Residents have been without a local grocery store since the end of 2010, and have been forced to drive into downtown Mill Valley for groceries, worsening the already terrible traffic.
Developers propose to install a new 25,000-square-foot Good Earth market but a Corte Madera resident on March 12, 2015, filed an appeal of a decision to exempt the project from environmental review, which could substantially delay the opening of the store beyond the November 2015 opening date.
Tam Valley residents are in broad support of the new store and have sent more than 200 letters supporting the market to the Marin Planning Commission which denied the appeal. But the Corte Madera resident opposed to the project plans to take his case to the Board of Supervisors on June 16, 2015.
The current site of the old Delano's Market is an eyesore that serves no purpose in enhancing the Tam Valley & Panoramic communities. Please do not allow one person, who doesn't live in the neighborhood, obstruct this wonderful addition to our community.
