Do you hate illegal aerial and exploding fireworks? Do you love illegal aerial and exploding fireworks?

I am proposing a solution to both questions. This is a perfect petition to sign regardless of whether you hate fireworks or love them. My proposal is to make 1-5 legal shoot sites for fireworks across the valley and charge a small surcharge for utilizing the shoot site. The surcharge would allow the state to maintain the site but also allow the use of aerial and exploding devices within the valley in a safe area that does not effect your dogs, your family, your house or our beautiful desert floor beyond the valley. This would prevent the use of illegal fireworks within the city streets, promote the legal safe use out of the city limits with trained individuals who understand how they work could teach you how to safely use your fireworks. This would cut the calls from concerned homeowners in half, and allow the state to charge higher fines for those using illegal fireworks in neighborhoods. These fines then could pay for our education system and offer grants to those who would like to study fire prevention as a career path along with aiding in fire prevention support in times of need. This is an opportunity to open the door to our state revenue at these shoot sites. We could also open a fireworks store with a tax allowing the user to purchase there, shoot across the road in the safe shoot site, pay for a permit that goes into the counties fire prevention fund, but also require the fireworks that are purchased to be used at the Safe Fireworks Shoot Site and not in the street in front of your house at 3 in the morning! Pahrump Nevada is a key example of this concept. They have 4 shoot sites that are utilized every weekend by fireworks enthusiasts. They are located outside of the city and run by the firework stores owners as volunteers. During open shooting there are two law enforcement officers and a fire truck at each site. The individuals running the site are trained in fire prevention. The area is a fenced in forfeiture piece of land that has been dust covered to prevent sparks from starting any fires.    The permit is required at the gate to allow safe use of fireworks and to ensure that one was purchased at the store. So ask yourself, why do we hate fireworks so much? It’s because they inconvenience us the night before work, or the dog barks, or they scare a new born. What if together, we could change that inconvenience and make our state a profit from the inconvenience we have? Sign this petition to be a part of the change within your neighborhood! You won’t regret it!
