Waterloo Upgrade 2017
During August, the South West Trains services will be massively reduced, due to the works at Waterloo Station. South West Trains have been advising their customers for months that their best option during the works is not to travel. It has been announced today, that under the terms of the South West Trains passenger charter, compensation will not be made to anyone who holds a season ticket valid during this period. Many of the South West Trains customers feel this is grossly unfair.
We feel that you should reconsider this decision, as it seems ridiculous to have to either pay for a month's travel which those who are able to work from home will not use, or to pay full fare for a massively reduced service.

Waterloo Upgrade 2017.
We the undersigned would like you to reconsider South West Trains' stance on compensation during the August works for the following reasons:
1: The lack of compensation to season ticket holders has been announced too late. Season ticket holders have already renewed their tickets, so don't haven't had the opportunity to change renewal date or maybe take out a shorter period ticket.
2: South West Trains have been telling us for months that the preferred option in August is not to travel. Therefore customers who have chosen this option will now be paying a full fare for time they won't be travelling.
3: Those customers who are forced to travel during the works face massive disruption and a service which South West Trains has already admitted will be so bad that it would be preferable not to travel.
I await your response with interest.
