Last year, an incredible 95,277 of you pledged your support to end youth homelessness by signing the petition to launch a Youth Homeless Helpline.
Thanks to your support, a helpline has been launched which operates Monday - Friday, 9am- 5pm - but that still leaves 5840 hours each year in which young people homeless or at risk of homelessness are left alone, afraid and without anywhere to turn for help.
This Giving Tuesday, we are asking for your help once more so that we can extend the helpline's hours to cover over the night and on weekends - times when there isn't anyone else available and young people are likely to be most in need of support.
An estimated 7000 young people in Wales ask for homelessness each year. If they don't receive the right advice at the right time, they risk falling into the cycle of homelessness - a path of social exclusion which can follow them through to adult life and seriously limit their future opportunities.
By helping us to make the helpline 24 hours, you will be providing somewhere they can turn for help at a critical time.
Please donate to the helpline appeal today. You could quite literally be saving a life. We are running a crowdfunding appeal which has the support of Hollywood actor Michael Sheen.
There are a range of rewards available in exchange for donations of varying values. Among which is a hand signed thank you letter from Michael Sheen or an exclusive set visit with Michael Sheen.
