Guyana is a third world country in South America, that neighbors Venezuela.  Recent massive oil discoveries has 'curiously' made the United Stated of America, Canada, United Kingdom and EU, changed their unfavorable  attitude towards  former President and current opposition leader, who while as President, was labeled  'Narco-State' Leader, by the US Government. 

The PPP/C contracted for $34 Million US with Mercury Public Relations firm, to Lobby Washington DC and 'advise' them on elections strategy -many supporters of the incumbent APNU/AFC believe Mercury Public Relations attempted to rig the elections in the PPP/C's favor as evidenced by the blatant biasedness  of the ABC (America, British, Canadian ambassadors) along with the EU, and OAS.

Other supporting evidence includes the distancing of the US embassy in Guyana from a statement made in December 2019, by Dr. R Evan Ellis predicting a PPP/C return to power in March 2020 Elections.
