My home is being destroyed, one bulldozer at a time.

I live in Sarasota, Florida, a popular vacation spot for and place to retire. Because of this, there are multitudinous hotels, restaurants, shops, and other amenities. These buildings are indeed nice, but the residents of Sarasota are beginning to face a horrific truth: companies are not going to stop building them.

Slowly and devastatingly, we are seeing our green space and natural land mutate into chasms of concrete. The traffic is becoming more and more brutal each year, and it seems as if the busy season never stops. With a new construction dilemma on the horizon, proposed by Benderson Development, it will become even worse.

There have been town hall meetings, news reports, and peaceful protests, but to no avail. Benderson Development wishes to continue with its destruction, even though there is an outstanding majority of people who, to put it bluntly, hate Benderson Development and what it is doing to our home.
