Marco Carrai, console onorario di Israele non può essere Presidente della fondazione Meyer

    Il Codice etico della Fondazione Meyer prevede alla voce Rispetto delle persone e dei bambini che la fondazione non tollera nella maniere più assoluta violazioni dei diritti umani poiché opera nell’ambito del riferimento della Dichiarazione Universale dei Diritti Umani delle Nazioni Unite e in particolar modo della convenzione internazionale ONU sui diritti dell’infanzia.

    Il governo di Israele nella guerra in corso a Gaza, oggi così come in passato,  ha ucciso migliaia di bambini attraverso bombardamenti indiscriminati. Migliaia di bambini sono stati feriti o sono rimasti mutilati e  molti sono stati operati senza anestesia e senza controllo del dolore a causa dell’esaurimento di anestetici e analgesici. La carenza di antibiotici ha aumentato la mortalità per infezioni. Neonati sono morti nelle incubatrici a causa dell’esaurimento dei generatori elettrici. 

    Israele ha interrotto l’approvvigionamento idrico ed elettrico,  ha tagliato forniture essenziali degli ospedali ed ha impedito l’accesso alle cure dei bambini  feriti e malati.
Le infezioni e la fame dilagano fra i bambini palestinesi. 

    In  Cisgiordania, che non è teatro di guerra, i coloni israeliani hanno ucciso decine di bambini nelle loro case ed impediscono quotidianamente l’accesso alle scuole e all’istruzione con ripetute aggressioni che restano impunite e sono tollerate se non addirittura incentivate dal governo stesso i cui rappresentanti sono anch’essi coloni.

  Il governo di Israele ha reso orfani e sfollati migliaia di bambini che hanno dovuto abbandonare le loro case e che hanno riportato traumi psicologici gravissimi per lo stress vissuto.

UNICEF, Amnesty International, Oxfam, Human rights whatch, PCRF, Croce Rossa denunciano chiaramente tutto questo.

 Il console di Israele, Marco Carrai, che non ha speso una parola contro questa feroce aggressione, collettiva e indiscriminata,  né contro il massacro di bambini in corso a Gaza non può essere ragionevolmente il presidente della Fondazione dell’ospedale pediatrico Meyer. 

Tutti i bambini hanno diritto alle cure e all’istruzione.
Anche i bambini palestinesi.

Marco Carrai, Honorary Consul of Israel cannot be President of the Meyer Foundation

We ask you to sign this request for the resignation of Marco Carrai as president of the Meyer Foundation, the results of which will be delivered to:

     Meyer Foundation's Ethical Code states, at the heading “Respect for people and children”, that the foundation does not tolerate violations of human rights in the most absolute way since it operates within the framework of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and in particular of the UN International Convention on children's rights.

     In the ongoing war in Gaza, the Israeli government has killed thousands of children through indiscriminate bombing, today as in the past. Thousands of children have been injured or maimed and many have been operated on without anesthesia and without pain control due to running out of anesthetics and analgesics. The shortage of antibiotics has increased mortality from infections. Newborns have died in incubators due to the exhaustion of electrical generators.

     Israel has cut off water and electricity supplies, cut essential hospital supplies and prevented injured and sick children from accessing treatment.

Infections and hunger are rampant among Palestinian children.

     In the West Bank, which is not a theater of war, Israeli settlers have killed dozens of children in their homes and daily prevent access to schools and education with repeated attacks that go unpunished and are tolerated if not even encouraged by the government itself, whose representatives are also settlers.

     The Israeli government has orphaned and displaced thousands of children who have had to abandon their homes and have suffered very serious psychological trauma from the stress they experienced.

UNICEF, Amnesty International, Oxfam, Human Rights Watch, PCRF, Red Cross clearly denounce all this.

     The Israeli consul, Marco Carrai, who has not said a word against this ferocious, collective and indiscriminate aggression, nor against the ongoing massacre of children in Gaza, cannot reasonably be President of the Meyer Children's Hospital Foundation.

All children have the right to treatment and education.

Even Palestinian children.
