10 years ago their daughter, Madeleine McCann went 'missing' from their apartment in Portugal whilst her parents enjoyed a meal with friends. Madeline has never been found nor has anyone been held responsible. 

There is over whelming evidence to suggest that her parents were involved in her disappearance but at the very least they neglected Madeleine aswell as her little brother and sister who were also left alone in the apartment. Even after Madeleine had told her mother that she didn't want her mum to leave her again after they had all woke the night before and cried but no one came. 

The Governments definition of neglect is the failure to 'protect a child from physical and emotional harm or danger; ensure adequate supervision (including the use of inadequate care-givers)', so why have the McCanns not been reprimanded?

For the past 10 years there has been debates; would the McCanns of been prosecuted for neglect if they were working class? would they have received the media coverage and had £11.1million of the tax payers money spent on the search if they were from a council estate? 

These should not be the questions asked. What we should be asking is, if a parent from any walk of life left three children under the age of 4 alone (home or abroad) should they be prosecuted? If your answer is yes then sign this petition! 

Update: Since starting the petition it has came to my attention that The Mccann's cannot be prosecuted for neglect in the U.K. As the crime happened abroad, so I have now directed the petition to the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
