I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported, signed and shared this Call to Action, supporting the Electoral (Entrenchment of Maori Seats) Amendment Bill. I am very proud of the people that stood up to be counted. I am very proud of the Joint Submission that I have drafted on your behalf. I will be very proud when I have the opportunity to read this joint submission to the Maori Affairs Select Committee in 2019. This submission is not about separation, it is not about about party politics. It is about equity, it is about the right to a level playing field. Because that is what we all deserve, yesterday, today and for our moko the leaders of tomorrow.
