On Tuesday 28th August, during a football game between West Brom and Mansfield Town at the Hawthorns, a small minority of Mansfield Town fans decided to chant several racist chants about the EDL and Baghdad as well as chants about Tommy Robinson which is simply unacceptable. Football is game of joy and passion, emotions galore yet in 2018 we still find ourselves with people who believe it is absolutely fine and not offensive to shout such degoratory comments. The majority of Mansfield Town fans and football fans will not stand for this. We urge the club to investigate into this and to sanction bans to the culprits involved.
