Since the Black Lives Matter movement across America and the most recent Presidential Election, there have been multiple derogatory signs appearing across the street of the intersection by Walmart in Mansfield, NJ. 

These signs while protected by free speech have become increasingly racist and discriminatory (including swastikas, anti-black messages). While there is nothing wrong about creating political signs about political officials; the most recent signs which have included a saying “Black Lives Hater” have crossed the line and become blatantly racist. For many, the signs are visible while driving on down the intersection of Airport Rd., and Route 57. The road is a direct route that thousands see per day and to drive past racist signs is not something community members would like to see while driving past. 

I am creating this petition not because I want don’t want to see people creating signs for their yards, but solely because these signs that have been placed, have become progressively hurtful to members of Warren County. Please join me in signing this petition to the Mansfield Town Counsel to take actions against the signs of open racism.
