Animal protection laws in Manitoba are not as strong as they could be. There are a lot of people who want to see that changed – especially now.Emotions have been running high since July 27,2016 with the viral video of that poor beautiful puppy being tossed into the air only to land on the pavement. Although the person was detained, and ultimately charged,I feel strongly he will be released with little to no repercussions for his vile behavior. This is not only teaching children but general society that animal abuse is "ok" if it only happens once? Although Manitoba animal abuse laws are one of the strongest there is drastic room for improvements. With a mandatory jail sentence, court ordered counseling & a life time ban from owning animals this would send a more clear message that in Manitoba THIS is not acceptable. Please assist our cause.
