Full Refund for PAL Booked Flights Due to Enhanced Community Quarantine

The Issue

Due to the rising pandemic of COVID-19, the Philippine government issued an Enhanced Community Quarantine that restricts people going in and out of Luzon (especially Metro Manila). This includes flights from other countries.

PAL stated the cancellation of all domestic flights while waiting for the status of international flights booked from March 20 to April 12.

While it is appreciated that PAL is coordinating with the government regarding international flights, there is no guarantee that the pandemic will be resolved in time and that there's a possibility that international flights will be canceled as well. A lot of our Overseas Filipino Workers are looking into canceling their trips to avoid any circumstances of being infected.

For the health and welfare of our beloved Overseas Filipino Workers who are working endlessly for their families, we respectfully ask for a full refund on all passenger tickets or rescheduling their flights without additional charges. It is only just that they receive their money back or get their money's worth. While canceling their flights is an excellent way to avoid any chance of spreading the virus, it's only fair that they get a refund.

Hopefully, if we get enough signatures before March 20, PAL will provide a better resolution.
