Cyrus Vance Jr. is the Manhattan District Attorney. It was recently revealed that his office declined to prosecute Harvey Weinstein for an alleged sexual offense, even though the complainant with the help of the NYPD recorded Mr. Weinstein making remarks that bolstered the criminal case. This isn't the first time Vance's office declined to prosecute a sex crime allegedly committed by an influential person; his office also declined to prosecute Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

It was reported by Business Insider that Vance received re-election campaign funds from a lawyer affiliated with Weinstein.

Only one of Weinstein's victims went to the police...they tried to help her, but the Manhattan District Attorney torpedoed the case. Why would sexual assault victims in Manhattan report their crimes if the end result is a difficult criminal investigation that results in no charges? Enough is enough.
