A police horse was attacked with a "lathi" multiple times by the BJP’s Mussoorie MLA, Ganesh Joshi during a protest in Dehradun Monday afternoon {14/03/2016} . The horse has received multiple fractures and the veterinary doctors say that the horse's rear leg has to be amputated for the horse to survive.(1)We urge Maneka Gandhi, Founder of "People for Animals", India's largest animal rights organization and Union minister to intervene and make sure the best care is provided to the victim. The maimed horse should be provided with a prosthetic leg and transferred to animal shelter so it could lead the rest of its life in peace away from cruel people like Ganesh Joshi. We urge Shri B. S. Sidhu, DGP Uttarakhand to take this matter as not just Animal Cruelty but also as an attack on the Police Force which the Horse was a member of. The Horse was on duty when it was attacked and it should be seen in that light and the FIR and Charge sheet should reflect it. We request you to do the needful. We demand from our Prime Minister Narendra Modi to expel Ganesh Joshi permanently from BJP for Attacking and maiming a member of the police force and extreme animal cruelty.
