Animal neglect, cruelty, abuse, and irresponsible breeding are on the rise in Belize. We believe the fastest way to combat this is through a a mandatory pet registration process. By making pet registration mandatory, the city will be able to require certain things such as spaying/neutering of pets as well as a safe and clean living environment. Breeders will also have to be registered. This will reduce the number of pets going to irresponsible owners and reduce the chances of them ending up on the streets as strays.
