My abuser attempted to suffocate me a few times. He plead guilty to suffocation which is a felony but his plea deal is ONLY UP TO 3 and a half years in jail if he commits a crime during ONLY a year of probation. I do not feel like justice was served and the best protection for victims & prevention for victims & future potential victims is actually holding perpetrators accountable. It should not take someone being killed for an abuser to go to jail
