IT giants have decided to enforce a return to office policy, causing a significant surge in traffic, extending beyond peak hours. As a result, chaos ensues on the roads, leading to an increase in traffic violations and making our commutes unpredictable and dangerous.
Work from home (WFH) is not a novel concept; it has been successfully adopted during the pandemic. Numerous studies and reports confirm that remote work is efficient and productive. According to a report by the Harvard Business Review, companies that allowed remote work saw a 13% increase in productivity. Not only does WFH benefit companies in terms of productivity, but it also has a profound positive impact on employees' mental and physical well-being.
By mandating a WFH option, the Karnataka State Government can significantly alleviate traffic woes in Bangalore.
