I am deeply concerned about the escalating effects of global warming. The piercing heat waves and detrimental environmental consequences fuel my fears for the future of our planet. It's a scenario that could come true if we don't take immediate and significant action.

One of the most effective methods for reducing the impact of global warming is tree planting. Trees absorb harmful CO2 that contributes to the greenhouse effect, acting as vital carbon sinks. According to a study in the journal Nature, planting 1.2 trillion additional trees could absorb more CO2 than humans emit each year (Source: Nature Journal, July 2019).

However, despite our knowledge of this solution, many are not doing enough to plant and protect our trees. We call upon lawmakers to require individuals to plant, cultivate and protect trees in a bid to mitigate global warming. Our shared environment is in crisis, and we must all do our part to pave the way for a cooler, stable planet.
