Our community of Edgewood is an old, vibrant neighborhood with stories to tell and generations of stories yet to write. However, every weekend, these stories are interrupted across our community by the excessive bass and often foul music from the club, Lounge 8IV located at 1000 Marina Mile Boulevard.

The constant and disruptive vibration is not only infringing upon our peace, but it's also affecting the well-being of our children, disturbing our pets, interfering with home based businesses and disrupting our sleep.

The decibel level from this club and exposure to such loud and constant noise over time can lead to numerous health problems including sleep, stress, and wide-ranging cardiovascular disorders. A report from the World Health Organization (WHO) underscores these health impacts of noise pollution. This doesn't even take into account the potential structural damage our “historic” houses may endure due to the ongoing vibrations.

We are asking that Lounge 8IV adhere strictly to local bylaws and noise regulations, respect the surrounding community, and significantly reduce the bass and volume of their music – both DAY and NIGHT. Urban living demands mutual respect among residents and businesses alike. It is essential that Lounge 8IV honors this unwritten social contract we all agree on when choosing to live and run businesses here.
