Mandate Installation of Baby Changing Tables in Richardson Library's Temporary Location

The Issue

As a dedicated patron of the Richardson library and a parent, I have always appreciated the services provided by our local library. My 3-year-old daughter has been attending their story times since she was an infant, and now my son, who is still in diapers, also accompanies us. However, during a recent visit to the temporary location of the library this week, I was dismayed to find that are no changing tables available for babies in diapers.

This lack of basic facilities puts undue stress on caretakers like myself and many others who bring their children to the library. It interrupts our visits and negatively impacts our experience at this cherished community facility.

Richardson is home to countless families with young children, many of whom will be affected by this oversight. Furthermore, it is important to note that providing such facilities is not just about convenience; it is about public health too.

We urge the management of Richardson Library's temporary location to rectify this situation promptly by installing baby changing tables in its public restrooms. This simple act will significantly improve accessibility for families with young children and demonstrate a commitment towards serving all members of our community effectively.

Please sign this petition if you believe every parent should have access to necessary amenities while visiting public places like libraries.
